Artist Statement
I strive to make my mind live on much longer than my body. My practice delves into themes of corporeality, space, fear, and queerness, offering both playful and/or profound reflections on existence, while challenging the limits of the physical body and embracing the possibilities of alternate realities. Worldbuilding is key to my Practice, mixing real-world mythologies/iconography with invented symbols. I use a variety of media to create my imagined worlds including ceramics, oil, acrylic, and mixed media.
